A welcome glow of old-fashioned hospitality emanates from this family-run Italian restaurant & there’s a touch of restrained elegance about the decor.

The interior is flooded with light from the street & a skylight at the back, & diners sit comfortably at long-skirted tables. There is an intimate atmosphere yet the space can also be used effectively for large familly dinners/functions

The modern, seasonal menu has plenty to tempt – a salad of marinated duck with goats cheese and pears or spicy grilled squid with rocket to start, followed by Pan Fried Seabass with Fennel & other carefully cooked main courses.

The next-door café serves as a more casual pit-stop at lunchtime, when cheap set meals & excellent sandwiches (to take out) are on offer.
